Matthew Koepplinger, D.O. , M.S. is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery
at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Koepplinger earned his
medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens,
Ohio. His training includes an internship and an orthopaedic surgery residency at St.
Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, and a fellowship in hand and upper
extremity surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Koepplinger is a member of the
American Osteopathic Association, a candidate member of the American Osteopathic
Academy of Orthopaedics, and a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of
the Hand. Dr. Koepplinger is also Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of
Orthopaedic Surgery. His areas of specialty include: trauma and fracture of the shoulder,
elbow, wrist and hand, ligamentous injuries of the elbow, wrist and hand, tendon injuries of
the elbow wrist and hand, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, arthritis of the
elbow, wrist and hand, congenital anomalies of the elbow, wrist and hand, trigger finger,
tennis elbow and sports injuries involving the elbow, wrist and hand.
